Michelle Fox

Owner, Co-Founder & Director

Michelle grew up as a competitive gymnast and transitioned into dance where she began extensive training in ballet, jazz and contemporary. She graduated from Ryerson University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program with a major in Performance Dance. After graduation, she performed as a company member with Cadence Progressive Contemporary Ballet for several seasons before going on to start her own contemporary company, Intrinsic Dance Project. With Intrinsic, she performed works for Nuit Blanche, dance festivals, weddings, fashion shows, music videos, showcases and commissioned pieces across Canada.

Michelle is a highly sought after and well respected Toronto choreographer and educator. She is a member with the Society of Classical Ballet and the Acro Dance Teachers Association. Michelle is best known in the dance industry for her passion, artistic vision and creative, award-winning choreography. She strives to inspire and encourage dancers to find their passion and express it on stage with conviction and purpose. She is a passionate dance advocate bringing awareness to important issues within the dance industry to make it a more inclusive place.

Kendra Leigh

Co-Founder & Director

 Kendra Leigh (Kendra Amondsen), originally from Oshawa, Ontario, began her dance training at the age of two years. She is an Advanced Two RAD ballet dancer and studied the ADAPT tap and jazz syllabus growing up and is now a certified ADAPT teacher. She spent fifteen years competing in dance competitions across Southern Ontario where she won numerous Broadway Bound awards, overalls and scholarships for her Musical Theatre solos.

Kendra has performed with The National Ballet of Canada, in their rendition of The Nutcracker and has danced for CTV in celebration of the Olympic Flame being carried through Canada in 2010. At the age of eighteen years, Kendra started teaching dance to children ages two and up. Kendra’s routines are known for their highly detailed costumes and props and her intricate competitive choreography that has won her routines numerous overall awards. She’s so excited to bring her passion for dancing and acting into every class she teaches.

Victoria Vercillo

Co-Founder & Photographer

Victoria first fell in love with dance at the age of three. Born and raised in London, Ontario, Victoria spent the majority of her childhood at the studio. Victoria has been trained in many disciplines under RAD and BATD, including jazz, tap, acrobatics, ballet, and lyrical. She has competed across Ontario and into the States from age six, into her University career, where she competed and choreographed until graduation, helping lead her team to multiple victories including two-time Rhythm Cup Championships, Top University Team, and numerous overalls, choreography and performance awards. 

After spending four years at Wilfred Laurier University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and International Studies, Victoria uprooted her life in pursuit of experiencing life in Toronto. In the past ten years of teaching, Victoria has received various awards displaying her creativity, performance quality, and choreographer abilities. Victoria feels extremely lucky to have taught at various studios across Southwestern Ontario and the GTA, and is driven by her passion for dance. Victoria cannot wait to inspire and be inspired by talented and dedicated dancers at Momentum DanceArts!
