Saturdays 11:00-1:00pm
SENIOR BALLET is a 2 hour weekly class where dancers train under the Society of Classical Ballet syllabus beginning with a traditional ballet barre, followed by centre & across the floor work. They finish with choreography in preparation for their performance at the year end recital. Dancers develop balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, endurance and poise.
Investment & Session Dates:
- Term 1: $1,105.80 – September 2024 – January 2025
- Term 2: $1,105.80 – February – June 2025
- Costume: $75-125
- Recital: June 22nd 2025
What to wear:
- Black bodysuit of your choosing OR fitted shorts & top.
- Skin coloured tights and ballet slippers (See our uniform page for MDA’s ballet shoes/tights policy).
- Long hair is to be pulled back into a neat bun with proper bun pins so hair remains intact throughout class. Short hair must be pulled back off of face. Braided buns are more than welcome!
Saturdays 1:00-1:45pm
SENIOR POINTE is a 45 minute weekly class which immerses dancers in the Society of Classical Ballet syllabus, starting with a traditional ballet barre and transitioning to centre and across the floor work. Prepare for our year end recital as you refine choreography, enhancing balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, endurance, and poise along the way.

- Term 2: $433.20 – February – June 2025
- Costume: $75-125
- Recital: June 22nd 2025
What to wear:
- Black bodysuit of your choosing OR fitted shorts & top.

SENIOR CONTEMPORARY is a 45 minute weekly class where dancers use dynamics, expressions, raw emotions, shifting alignments and systematic breathing to create movement sequences. Dancers do a cardio based warm up, across the floor technique & finish with centre choreography in preparation for their performance at the year end recital.

- Costume: $50-100
- Recital: June 22nd 2025
What to wear:
- Long hair pulled back into a neat bun or ponytail. Short hair must be pulled off of face.
- Dancers can choose between tight fitted shorts, leggings, bodysuit, or athletic top.
- Bare feet.
Saturdays 3:15-4:00pm
SENIOR JAZZ is a 45 minute weekly class where dancers train under the Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers jazz syllabus. Dancers will do a barre warm up, across the floor technique & finish with centre choreography in preparation for their performance at the year end recital.

- Recital: June 22nd 2025
What to wear:
- Long hair pulled back into a neat bun or ponytail. Short hair must be pulled off of face.
- Dancers can choose between tight fitted shorts, leggings, bodysuit, or athletic top.
- Skin coloured jazz shoes or turning shoes.
Thursdays 7:30-8:15pm
JUMPS & TURNS is a 45 minute weekly technique class to help dancers perfect their ballet, jazz and contemporary jumps and turns. This class has no recital dance or costume fee.
Investment & Session Dates:
- Term 1: $433.20 – September 2024 – January 2025
- Term 2: $433.20 – February – June 2025
What to wear:
- Pull back long hair or braids into a neat ponytail. Pin short hair off of face using bobby pins.
- Dancers can choose between fitted shorts, leggings, a bodysuit, or fitted athletic top. (We say “fitted” because dancers also work on inverted movements which make loose tops not as practical).
- Bare feet or skin coloured jazz shoes.
